Women for Food Freedom, a project of the Independent Women's Forum, applauds former WNBA star Lisa Leslie who yesterday told The Daily Caller that the federal government’s role in childhood nutrition should be “secondary” to parental responsibility.

While she said she's "100 percent behind" the First Lady's Let's Move campaign, she stressed that she's also "in 100 percent agreement that we as parents and people have to take control of whatever it is that we want for our children to do," adding "It starts at home, and then the government is there secondary as support."

Bravo!  We like influential people speaking out for parental responsibility and reminding the general public that government isn't always the answer.
