The overwhelming ignorance of members of the Obama administration about history is not a laughing matter.

Nevertheless, the Free Beacon’s Sonny Bunch’s pictorial essay on “General Marie Harf Through History” will have you in stitches.

As you recall, Ms. Harf recently said that we “can’t kill out way to victory” in our war (such as it is)  with Isis and proposed a jobs program instead of killing them. (Note to jobs program instructors: nothing with knives or matches, please.)

Anyway, Bunch captures General Marie at various military moments in history.

Marie with Marc Antony before Actium:

“Cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of equitable employment opportunities.”

Marie’s rewrite of Julius Caesar:

“I came, I saw, I provided significant social welfare benefits and jobs for the Gauls.”

General Marie tells Winston Churchill how to rally the English people:

“We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall give the Germans vacations on our beaches, we shall give them jobs in our landing grounds, we shall provide them with opportunities to work in our fields and in our streets, we shall give them places to live in the hills. We shall never surrender our commitment to the improvement of life for all!”

The pictures are hilarious. Don't miss Marie with General Patton!

Indeed Marie Harf would be an unmitigatedjoy if ISIS really weren’t an existential threat.

I hate to get serious when Bunch has provided us with so much fun, but I can't help agreeing with what Colonel Ralph Peters said of Harft last night: the woman, who holds a masters degree from the University of Virginia, is an indictment of our system of higher education. Scott Walker's education is l ooking better and better.
