Why is the Orlando massacre of June 12 starting to look like deja vu all over again?

Because it is deja vu all over again.

Of the San Bernardino massacre of Dec. 2, 2015.

Let's check out these parallels:

Orlando:

"Attorney General Loretta Lynch held a press briefing on the Orlando attack, where she said that Omar Mateen, the culprit in this likely terrorist attack, and his motive may never been known."

San Bernardino:

"But from Chris Hayes, to the FBI, to a representative of the Muslim community, to a Mother Jones reporter, to President Obama himself, one thing emerged from Hayes' MSNBC show tonight: they're all terribly confused and cautious about what possibly could have been the "motive" of the San Bernardino shooters."

Orlando:

"Earlier this week, it was established that Mateen’s wife Noor knew of the impending attack and did not report it to authorities, even going so far as to help her husband case out possible locations for the shooting.

"Now, it appears she has gone missing."

San Bernardino:

"Jihadi bride Tashfeen Malik shot first during the San Bernardino massacre, a report has revealed, as the FBI investigates claims she was responsible for radicalizing her husband….

"Malik's relatives describe how she turned from the Westernized daughter of a rich family to burka-wearing jihadi bride after she appeared to have become radicalized while studying pharmacology at Bahauddin Zakariya University in the city of Multan, Pakistan."

Orlando:

"President Barack Obama said the shooter who killed 49 people and injured 53 others at an Orlando gay nightclub apparently was self-radicalized and “an example of homegrown extremism.”

"The president noted the man police have identified as the gunman, Omar S. Mateen, purchased a gun legally and was inspired by extremist information disseminated over the internet. Mateen pledged allegiance to Islamic State “at the last minute,” Mr. Obama said."

San Bernardino:

"And officials said that his Pakistani-born wife had posted a comment swearing fealty to Islamic State on a Facebook page — but only just before the couple stormed into a holiday party at the Inland Regional Center, guns blazing….

"No evidence suggests that the couple joined jihadist chat rooms or posted on websites popular with Islamic militants, according to Seth Jones, a terrorism analyst at Rand Corp., a Santa Monica-based think tank."

Just sayin'.
