Fortunately I haven't eaten a bowl of cornflakes–or any other tasteless milk-logged cold cereal–since I was 13. (If I want soggy and sugary for breakfast, gimme a cup of coffee and a Dunkin' Donut.) And I'm sorry, but I don't buy products from outfits with wussy hipster names like "Warby Parker."

Which makes it easy for me to sign onto Breitbart News's pushback against–speaking of wusses–Kellogg, WP, and other corporations that have jumped onto the ad-pulling Boycott Breitbart bandwagon driven by some tweeting social justice warriors irked by misogyny, racism, cissexism, yada, yada, but actually by the election of Donald Trump as U.S. president.

Mashable reports:

Several major brands are scrubbing their ads from far-right news outlet Breitbart following pressure from social media users.

A makeshift campaign at the center of the boycott effort called Sleeping Giants claims that more than 20 advertisers have either publicly or privately agreed to remove ads from the site, including Kellogg, U.S. Bank and Warby Parker….

Critics say the agitative outlet frequently traffics in racist, misogynist and homophobic content.

Kellogg, the most notable advertiser to join the fray, said in a statement this week that Breitbart isn't "aligned with [its] values as a company."

"We learned from consumers that ads were placed on Breitbart.com and decided to discontinue advertising there," a spokesperson said.

Actually, Sleeping Giants' main beef (since Breitbart's been around since 2007) seems to be this, as Mashable points out:

Their decisions come amid renewed backlash against the site prompted by Donald Trump's recent appointment of Breitbart chairman Stephen Bannon as his chief strategist.

In other words, what has gotten under the SJWs' fingernails is that Trump won and Breitbart backed Trump.

To its credit, Breitbart is punching back, aggressively, with its own Boycott Kelloggs campaign:

The decision by Kellogg’s, which makes Pringles, Eggo waffles, as well as Special K and Frosted Flakes cereals, among others, will make virtually no revenue impact on Breitbart.com. It does, however, represent an escalation in the war by leftist companies like Target and Allstate against conservative customers whose values propelled Donald Trump into the White House….

Kellogg’s offered no examples of how Breitbart’s 45 million monthly readers fail to align with the breakfast maker’s values. Indeed, the move appears to be one more example of an out-of-touch corporation embracing false left-wing narratives used to cynically smear the hard working Americans that populate this nation’s heartland.

Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alexander Marlow encouraged the boycott of Kellogg’s products, describing their war against Breitbart News as bigoted and anti-American: “Breitbart News is the largest platform for pro-family content anywhere on the Internet. We are fearless advocates for traditional American values, perhaps most important among them is freedom of speech, or our motto ‘more voices, not less.’ For Kellogg’s, an American brand, to blacklist Breitbart News in order to placate left-wing totalitarians is a disgraceful act of cowardice.

Furthermore, Breitbart has come up with some delicious news tidbits about Kellogg. Such as:

In an article on its webpage, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF), the activist NGO sponsored by the Kellogg Company, states that “racial privilege and structural inequities have influenced” America and are at the core of nearly everything the country has done.

“Since the birth of America, racial privilege and structural inequities have influenced the nation’s policies and social systems, from healthcare, education and child welfare to media, food consumption, justice and countless other facets of everyday life,” the foundation states. “In America, those who differ from the majority because of race, color, sexual orientation, religion, gender, weight and other characteristics face a deluge of outright discrimination and unconscious bias.”

The foundation goes on to claim that the nation is racist without even realizing it….

The foundation then announced a five-year $75 million initiative to “combat structural racism in America.”

and:

The foundation sent the New York-based Calhoun School a $250,000 donation for a “three-part youth-based project on issues of white privilege and institutionalized racism.”

The foundation has also opposed voter ID laws by funding opposition to such organizations as the Texas-based TrueTheVote.org. The WKKF put millions into funding the Applied Research Center (ARC), a New York-based “racial justice think tank that uses media, research and activism to promote solutions.” The ARC, now known as RaceForward, accused supporters of voter ID laws of being proponents of Jim Crow-styled racism.

Breitbart also reported on charges that the oh-so-antiracist Kellogg's has systematically discriminated against minority employees at one of its distribution centers.

So I won't be sitting down to a big bowl of Rice Krispies anytime soon. Which is great, because I can't stand them.
