Americans have a message for Democrats looking forward to using their new leadership positions to remove the newest Supreme Court justice: leave him alone.

In new Rasmussen polling, over half (56 percent) of Americans say that Democrats should NOT try to impeach Justice Brett Kavanaugh. That’s compared to less than a third (30 percent) who think they should.

Half of women (51 percent) and nearly two of out three men (61 percent) oppose Kavanaugh impeachment efforts.

While an overwhelming majority of conservatives (80 percent) want Justice Kavanaugh left alone, over half of moderates/Independents (53 percent) do as well.

This follows reporting that incoming leadership of the House Judiciary Committee is scheming ways to oust Justice Kavanaugh. On an Acela train ride between D.C. and NYC, Rep. Jerrold Nadler of New York was heard on the phone discussing the pros and cons of two routes to pursue Kavanaugh: going after the FBI for their investigation calling it “a half-ass job” or going after Kavanaugh for perjury.

Nadler denied that the committee has any plans to impeach Kavanaugh, but it’s too late. The horse is out of the barn. The saying goes “loose lips sink ships.”

Whatever route liberals choose, they won’t have the firm backing of the public behind them.

That’s because Justice Kavanaugh enjoys support from half of Americans and a plurality of women. In polling last week, 47 percent of women and 54 percent of men said he belongs on the bench (compared to 45 percent of women and 38 percent of men who disagree.)

Justice Kavanaugh survived a bruising Supreme Court confirmation process fraught with last-minute allegations of rape and sexual assault that have since been proven unfounded and unsubstantiated.

During that highly partisan confirmation hearing process, lawmakers and advocates on the left were willing to nix due process and suspend the presumption of innocence to keep a qualified judge off the bench. The press was all too complicit in smearing an excellent judge.

Americans saw through the politics. They believe he belongs on the bench and do not want the next Congress to remove him.

As Fox News host and commentator Rachel Campos-Duffy noted in an interview with IWF, “The American people sent a message loud and clear that the dirty tricks played by Democrats to stop the Kavanaugh confirmation would not be tolerated.”

Any efforts to undermine his time on the bench will not be tolerated either.
