An excellent story! The teachers' unions care nothing for the betterment of children's education. Their goals are retention of ineffective "educators", and social engineering without parents finding out what they are really doing.

I don't know much about all the teacher unions. But, if not for my teacher's union my special ed class would continue to be meeting in: 1. Nurses office, 2.Cafeteria, 3. Quad, 4.Dirty music room. 5. Rat infested store room. My studenst are very special at several levels. They are like unto my children. Our principal, a man with one or two principles, looks upon us a "cash cows" who are a "sea anchor on test scores." None of my Downies, Autistics, or severly delayed students are passing the test. It's all my fault too. I am over educated, over credentialed, overpaid, and not a team player. Just to make you understand, I work for a true giant administrator who is all knowing, all seeing, all powerful, and taught creative writing too. Because of the teacher union we now have a classroom, a home, a place inside out of the rain. Before the union stepped in to save my sorry tail from the creative writing "build a book" program, this room was the teacher work and storage room. Now with the addition of a simple card board sign, its our home. Do come visit & Bring your own chair.
Seriously, The Union is the one consistent support we (my kids) and I can count on.

NEA and AAUP teachers unions are intentionally (bolded!) dumbing down our children for 40 + years---they have simply obtained their intended goal. They are Socialist/Communists and are using the same techniques used by Hitler---gaining control of the Nation by dumbing down our children and causing them to drop out due to poor academics and promiscuous engineering via sex ed classes. In Socialism/Communism dictatorship, the masses MUST be dumb, government dependment, and told what/how they will work in the work force. This has been accomplished by the NEA AAUP unions. They have also infiltrated the entire curriculum taughtf through dictating what will be taught and they have revisioned our American history/geography and brainwashed 80% of our children into Liberal Socialist Democratic Voters---ALL INTENTIONALLY MANIPULATIVELY DONE IN SECRET WIHOUT PARENTS KNOWING A THING ABOUT IT. Along with this, for Socialism/Communism to rule the nation, God must be removed---which they have done with the ACLU and also the teaching of Atheistic Theory (unproven) of Evolution, teaching childrern they are nothing but animals with beastly instincts--usher in promiscuity and taught it's o.k. THE UNIONS HAVE UTTERLY RUINED THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and if people don't wake up, very soon, the USA will be totally sold out and we will not have a nation any longer. God help us!
