Working For Women: A Modern Agenda for Improving Women’s Lives
A Report Detailing Alternative Policies to Strengthen Women’s Prospects

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Monday, April 11th, at 11:00 a.m. EDT, the Independent Women’s Forum (IWF) will host a national press call to discuss Working for Women: A Modern Agenda for Improving Women’s Lives. The economic report, to be released publicly on Tuesday, April 12th -- “Equal Pay Day” – promotes a series of modern policy reforms encouraging the creation of a more dynamic, innovative, and flexible work world for American women and families.

IWF worked with an advisory committee comprised of leading academics, policy experts, and industry specialists to create an alternative economic platform that would transform and promote an equitable workplace without growing government. This platform provides women with policies to ensure more job opportunities, flexibility, and the ability to achieve their individual dreams.

Working for Women already has the support by over thirty women leaders in the conservative movement. And IWF will share these policy ideas with state and national lawmakers and like-minded organizations interested in changing the conversation.

On the call IWF Executive Director Sabrina Schaeffer and Managing Director Carrie Lukas will discuss the current economic landscape and the challenges facing women. They will detail the policy reforms laid out in Working for Women and how they will give women more control over their lives and create a more dynamic economy and innovative society that helps all Americans better pursue their individual vision of happiness.

Schaeffer and Lukas will take questions at the end of the call.
