TUBMAN TO BE FIRST WOMAN TO APPEAR ON U.S. PAPER CURRENCY
RELIEF WOMAN SELECTED IS A TRUE HERO, NOT CHOSEN FOR IDEOLOGY OR POLITICS
WASHINGTON D.C. – U.S. Treasury Secretary Jacob Lewis announced today that Harriet Tubman will become the new face of the $20 bill, replacing former President Andrew Jackson. Independent Women’s Forum senior policy analyst Hadley Heath Manning released the following statement:
"Harriet Tubman is an excellent choice, reflective of the important, historical role women played in securing the freedom and opportunity we all enjoy in America today. It's a relief that the woman selected is a true hero, not chosen for political or ideological reasons."
