JUST RELEASED NEW POLL: HEALTHCARE THROUGH WOMEN'S EYES
What Women Want, Think Should Be Done and at What Cost?
A new poll released Wednesday by the Independent Women's Forum shows that only 16% of women believe that health care should be Congress's top priority and that a majority (51%) is unsatisfied with what they have read, seen, or heard about the proposals being considered today. The poll, conducted by WomanTrend, a division of the polling companyTM inc., surveyed 800 women registered to vote and was conducted between October 19-25, 2009.

As a woman and an RN, I agree with the poll and feel that we do not need our liberty removed to have quality health care. We need reform, most certainly, but not a government health care provider with a bureaucrat making our decisions for us. This would only be the beginning of government control in other aspects of our lives also.
Real reform keeps our care in the private sector with portability, better access across state line, which would lower costs, and of course tort reforms.

I'm also a woman and and RN, and I agree. There is a huge difference between improving the current system and the financial boondoggle that the House is about to vote on.
