Independent Women's Forum Presents "Agenda for Women 2011"

Executive Summary

Our country is at a crossroads. Dramatic changes have been made in the scope of the federal government during the last two years. Not only is government spending more than ever before and incurring record levels of debt, the federal government has taken unprecedented new roles in the health care sector, in the financial services industry, and in shaping other industries. If we continue on this path, America will be forever changed, with slower economic growth, less prosperity, and fewer freedoms.

Typically, those writing about policies that will advance women's interests focus on initiatives related specifically to gender. Yet IWF knows that all issues are women's issues.

Women, like men, have an urgent interest in the major initiatives that will be advanced by the 112th Congress. This report focuses solely on domestic policy and argues that Congress needs to dedicate itself to promoting sustainable economic growth and limiting government's burden on the private sector.

Independent Women’s Forum’s mission is to improve the lives of Americans by increasing the number of women who value free markets and personal liberty. Sister organization of Independent Women’s Voice.
