Princella Smith is a visiting fellow for the Independent Women's Forum's campus program. Princella was propelled into the national spotlight in 2004 when she won MTV's ‘Stand Up and Holla' essay contest and became a primetime speaker at the Republican National Convention in New York City. More recently, Princella served as the e-campaign director for Michael Steele's senate race in Maryland, managing all electronic communications for the campaign, including the official campaign website. Princella also served as the director of Students for Steele throughout the campaign. Princella has been featured several national media outlets including CNN, CBS, MSNBC, NPR, the New York Times, and USA Today, among others. Currently, Princella, a member of the Gingrich Communications team, is the Chief Producer of the Leading the Majority radio show with Rick Tyler, Newt Gingrich's Chief Spokesman, and Vince Haley, Director of Research at the American Enterprise Institute.  Princella is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, where she was a star on the Lady Tigers basketball team.
