STATEMENT: Like Serial Fabricator Brian Williams, Katie Couric Should Be Fired

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Washington Free Beacon uncovered an attempt by Katie Couric to embarrass gun activists by leaving a portion of the documentary on the cutting room floor. The edits were made to deceive the audience by making people believe the pro-gun activists had no answer to Couric's question on criminals and background checks, when in fact their answers were left out. Independent Women's Forum Culture of Alarmism Director Julie Gunlock issued the following statement: 

"Katie Couric should be ashamed of herself for her dishonest and distorted reporting on this issue. She has gone from respected journalist to propagandist for gun control groups. This just shows the lengths anti-Second Amendment advocates and their pals in the mainstream media will go to take away Americans right to bear arms.

"Like serial fabricator Brian Williams, Couric should be fired. Her tactics have been exposed and Americans should never again trust her to report on these important issues."
